Editorial Policy

This page explains how we decide what to review, how we stay independent, how we use AI and how we fix mistakes. Last updated: October 21, 2026.

How we choose what to review

We pick tools that small online sellers are actively comparing: the products readers ask us about, the products that appear most in search and AI answers for seller questions, and promising newer tools. Whether a tool has an affiliate program does not decide whether we review it. Some tools we cover pay us nothing.

Independence

  • Rankings, scores and verdicts are decided by our tests alone.
  • Vendors cannot pay for a review, a placement or a higher score, and we do not accept “sponsored” reviews.
  • Vendors may see a review only after it is published. They may point out factual errors, which we check against our own test before changing anything.
  • If we receive a free account, a free product or an extended trial, we say so in the review.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help draft outlines, check grammar and generate voice narration for our videos. AI does not test products and does not decide verdicts. Every review is based on our own hands-on test, and every article is checked against our test notes, screenshots and recordings before it is published.

Accuracy and updates

  • Prices show the date we checked them on the vendor’s site, and we re-check monthly.
  • Each review has a changelog listing what changed and when.
  • When we cite a fact we did not test ourselves, we link to the source.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email hello@testedforsellers.com with the page and the problem. We aim to reply within 3 business days. When we correct something material, we note it in the review’s changelog.

Conflicts of interest

Our team does not own shares in, or work for, any company we review. If that ever changes, we will disclose it on the affected reviews.
